Where did you go to college for undergrad/grad?
I attended University at Buffalo for my undergrad with a major in business management/communications and a minor in Spanish. I currently attend RIT’s College of Business for my MBA
Where do you live? Do you own your own home?
I own a townhome in Penfield.
What do you do in your 'off' hours?
I love to eat out at the plethora of restaurant choices there are in Rochester. In the past year I have eaten out at least twice a week and never at the same place twice. I also enjoy traveling to see my friends all over the country, seeing movies, watching TV, going to sporting events and going out for a few drinks with my friends.
What's Rochester like?
Rochester is an amazing small city that offers all the best attributes of a large city. There are so many things to do, and it is all at an affordable price. Rochester allows me to live a high lifestyle without the high price one would find in a much larger city.
What's the best first step to meeting people and finding your way around?
Check out all the magazines and newspapers offered in Rochester (i.e., Insider, City, Freetime, RBJ, the yellow pages, and the Democrat and Chronicle) to find out what is going on around town. By attending an organization’s meeting or event you may find new friends. The No. 1 thing to do though is just to drive around the town to see all the diverse towns and places there are in Rochester.
Any other thoughts or advice?
Have an open mind and really explore Rochester. Leave your usual daily routine behind and try something different every day. And support Rochester businesses! Some of the best restaurants and stores in Rochester are owned by local people. Those stores are what make the area unique and the special place that it is to live, work and play.
