I'm a software consultant.

Where do you live? Do you own your own home?
I live in the Ellwanger-Barry neighborhood, near Highland Park, in a house with my girlfriend, Jane.

What do you do in your off hours?
Work with web-based technologies, practice martial arts, go to movies at The Little, work on our house.

What's Rochester like?
I could spend a long time talking about the things that make Rochester great. I feel like there are a lot of great things happening as Rochester "redevelops" and it is fun to watch and participate.

What's the best first step to meeting people and finding your way around?
One of the things I've learned, you've just got to go out and get involved, talk to people, make yourself aware of what's happening. Pick an activity you like or that you've always been interested in and go and do it.

Any other thoughts/advice?
Don't believe people who say there's nothing to do in Rochester. Find people who are smart and successful and learn from them.
