Gary Bonadonna, 25
Political coordinator, UNITE HERE

Where did you go to college for undergrad / grad?
Undergrad at University at Buffalo, double major in English and political science

Where do you live? Do you own your own home?
I have lived in the Park Ave. area for the past two years, but I just bought a condo on East Avenue toward the city

What do you do in your 'off' hours?
Go to the gym, read, watch movies, work on political campaigns or other volunteer activities, and go out to the East End bars on weekends

What's Rochester like?
I preach all the time about how great the summers in Rochester are: plenty of outdoor festivals, nightlife and restaurants.

What's the best first step to meeting people and finding your way around?
Just go to where your interests are. Join a gym, take an art class, attend film screenings, check out a local band, and you’ll find like-minded people. And take a look at the events that are posted weekly in City Newspaper.

Any other thoughts / advice?
There’s a lot of stuff to do in Rochester. I think you just have to seek it out, and you’ll discover that Rochester offers way more than people think.
